Who we are
Maticbook is provided by Mosematic Technologies, a business name registered in Uganda (G260930-3343), owned by Mubangizi Moses (Ugandan) ("we", "us"). Contact: hello@mosematic.com, P.O. Box 100048, Kampala, Uganda. By using Maticbook, or by creating an account, you agree to these terms.
The service
Maticbook is a notebook for professional kitchens: recipes, prep lists, notes, a roster and timers. It works offline; an optional account syncs it across your devices. It is free to use. We may change or stop features; keep an export of anything you cannot lose.
Your content
What you write stays yours. You give us only the permission needed to store and sync it for you. You are responsible for what you add, including colleagues' names on the roster, and for having the right to use any recipe you save.
Food safety and AI
- Maticbook is a record-keeping tool. Allergen tags, yield scaling and timers are aids, not a food safety system. You remain responsible for allergen control, temperatures and everything served.
- Reading a recipe from a photo uses an AI model. Its output can be wrong: check every ingredient, quantity and allergen before cooking from it.
Acceptable use
Do not use Maticbook to break the law, to store other people's data you have no reason to hold, or to interfere with the service, including by automating the photo reader. We may suspend an account that does.
Availability and liability
Maticbook is provided as it is. We work to keep it running and your data safe, but we cannot promise it will always be available or free of errors, so keep exports of anything you cannot lose. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect loss, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the last twelve months. Nothing here limits rights you have by law as a consumer.
Ending
You can stop using Maticbook at any time and ask us to delete your account. We may close an account that breaks these terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Uganda, where Mosematic Technologies is registered, and disputes are resolved in the courts of Uganda. This does not remove any protection the law of your own country gives you that cannot be excluded by contract.
Changes
When these terms change we update the date above. Using Maticbook after a change means you accept it; if you do not, stop using it and ask us to delete your account.
